FitMix Communities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the mind, body, and soul through fitness and specialty boot camps. The organization recently launched a campaign called Heroes Again which employs fitness to engage and support veterans in conversations around mental health. Their motto: “If we save ONE LIFE from suicide, then we’ve accomplished our goal”. The Heroes Again initiative currently focuses on the Veteran population but welcomes all who are seeking a safe space and support.
